Unfortunately, as you must have heard, our worst fear is slowly coming into being. Apart from news of new infections and the two more deaths reported today, these new infections are locally spread not imported as used to be the case. In other words, we’re slowly navigating in phase three of the epidemic without adequate necessary precautions nor resources mobilization. Even to-date, the president is still insisting on free boarders and routines for even more productivity, what a joke on pandemic in my views!

Strangely, today everyone in the wards was wearing masks because we hear of the news that two staffs have been taken to quarantine. They both have no history of any recent travel, bringing us to question perhaps there’re infections already in the community or from the patients/clients we’re seeing without symptoms, big question mark there!

Yes, food is becoming a little more and more pricey every other day. With international students gone, a huge load has fallen on our shoulders, it is really busy here. We have simple masks, you can get at least one a day, more water tapes for hand washing have been built at the entry/exit points and plenty of Chlorine water. I have never seen those protective gowns, perhaps they are reserved for action in near future, it would be good to know if we have though.

Happy Easter holidays, Stay safe.
